Our story
At Werner Farms, everything we do is rooted in family, sustainability, and a deep love for the land and animals. Our journey began long before we were officially “The Werners.” We got married in 2017, but had already started building our hay operation with Andrew’s dad years earlier—a tradition and partnership that continues to this day.
Our first “gateway animals” were chickens, and soon we were selling fresh farm eggs to neighbors and friends. Not long after, we raised our first feeder pigs to fill our own freezer. The quality, flavor, and peace of mind that came from knowing exactly how our pork was raised quickly led to friends and family asking for their own. That’s when we began offering pasture-raised, hormone-free, and antibiotic-free pork by the half and whole hog.
As our passion and experience grew, so did our herd. We added Clarence, our boar, and launched our own breeding operation—committed to raising healthy, happy pigs on open pasture. Today, we’re proud to expand into offering premium pork products raised with integrity and care, directly from our farm to your family’s table.
Now, we get to share this way of life with our daughter—teaching her the value of hard work, compassion for animals, and the importance of caring for the earth. At Werner Farms, we don’t just raise pigs—we raise food we’re proud to feed our own family, and yours.
